Clermont County Mental Health and Recovery Board

The Coalition for a Drug-Free Clermont County provides education to adults and youth regarding the impact of substance use and abuse.  Activities of the Coalition are funded through a mini-grant awarded by the Clermont County Mental Health and Recovery Board.

The Clermont County Mental Health and Recovery Board received a two-year Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF-SIG) to build a sustainable, culturally and linguistically competent alcohol and other drug prevention infrastructure for Clermont County. The Coalition for a Drug-Free Clermont County and Clermont Recovery Center were selected to implement this grant. The primary goal of the grant is to decrease the number of 18-25 year olds misusing prescription medications.

The process will include:

  • Implementation of a community-wide readiness assessment
  • Development  of a county-wide  prevention data collection system
  • Increasing Coalition capacity to implement environmental prevention strategies
  • Development of a data-driven comprehensive strategic plan
